Accessibility Statement
We're committed to making zion.us usable by everyone. Here's where we are.
Our target
zion.us is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The static stack (HTML/CSS/JS) is structured for keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, color-contrast compliance, and resilience to reduced-motion preferences.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML throughout (header, nav, main, article, section, footer)
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Keyboard-navigable mega-menu with focus-visible affordances
- ARIA labels on navigation landmarks and the floating CTA
- Color contrast at minimum 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text
- Form fields with explicit labels (no placeholder-as-label)
- Responsive layout from 320px to 4K with no horizontal scrolling
- Honors prefers-reduced-motion for animations
- Real link text (no "click here" anti-patterns)
Known limitations
- The legacy WordPress site at
old.zion.us(parked during cutover) does not meet WCAG AA. It exists only as a 30-day rollback safety net. - Some embedded third-party tooling (e.g., future BuildingReports portal, future Decap CMS admin) may not be fully WCAG AA — these are vendor-managed and we'll address as integrations land.
